Projects & milestones /a/projects

Every accepted quotation becomes a project here. Track the 10-step installation through to commissioning, with subsidy paperwork and payment collection in one place.

Installation Pipeline grid showing five project tiles with size, manager, location and milestone progress bars

The installation pipeline

The list page is titled Installation Pipeline. Projects render as cards in a responsive grid; each card has:

  • Title — auto-generated as Customer Name — kW — Year.
  • Status pillIn Progress / Commissioned / On Hold / Cancelled.
  • Size, Manager, Location — from the linked quotation and lead.
  • Milestone progress — bar showing X/10 complete.
  • Manage Milestones CTA — opens the project detail page.

Filter and sort

Four controls at the top: All Statuses, All Managers, All Locations, and a sort dropdown (default Newest First).

Project detail page

Click Manage Milestones on any tile to open the full project view. Four cards stack down the page.

1. Header

Project title, location, system size. Two dropdowns on the right:

  • Project Manager — assign from the team list.
  • Project Status — flip to Commissioned when handover is complete; auto-fires the GST invoice generation step.

2. Installation Milestones

Ten checkboxes in sequence. Click the box to mark Done; the row strikes through, turns green, and timestamps the user who completed it. Each milestone also exposes an Upload Proof button for site photos or DISCOM acknowledgements.

4. Payment Schedule & Collections

Pre-seeded with the milestones from the linked quotation's payment template (e.g. Advance / On Delivery / On Commissioning) and the amounts derived from the grand total. Use Edit Due Date to push a milestone, or Record Payment to log a receipt against it.

Converting a quote into a project

1

Open the quotation and set Status to Accepted.

2

Click Convert to Project in the quotation header.

3

The lead moves to Won, a new project appears on this page with milestones reset to Pending, the subsidy entry appears in Subsidy Tracker, and the payment schedule rolls into Payments.

Field technician view

Technicians signed in with the Field Technician role see a stripped-down version: their assigned projects only, milestone checklist, and the Upload Proof button. No edit access to subsidy or payments cards. Optimised for one-thumb operation on a phone.

Project tiles show 'Manager: Unassigned' on seeded data. Once you set a Project Manager on the detail page, the tile updates on next list refresh.

After commissioning, monitor subsidy disbursement in Subsidy Tracker and collect the final balance under Payments.
